Adventure at Sea Nursery: The Design Process

Welcome to my blog, I am so excited to share the process of this nursery with you. We are just in the beginning stages, this will be part one of a two part blog series.

Let's start with my inspiration for this project; a few postcards I found at an antique shop. They were only $1 each and they will look so cute framed. This is one of my favorite budget friendly decor ideas. It's so fun to look through the old postcards and see what treasures you can dig up, and the price is always low! One of a kind art for a bargain. Once I found these cards, the rest of the design just flowed from there.

Here are a few more of my finds for the nursery:

I am also always on the lookout for great deals and different decor for a particular project. I love this lamp from Target and a lot of the other items in the collection:

Here are a few fabrics I pulled for pillows and a quilt:

Deciding on a paint color is really easy once all of the fine details are selected. I decided to go with aqua blue tones that remind me of the ocean. As you can see below the painting has begun! I went with Sherwin Williams Waterscape SW6470.

Stay tuned for my next blog post with the final reveal details and photos! I am so excited to see everything come together. Don't forget to subscribe to my mailing list so you are first to receive updates on the blog!
